Publishing

After two or three years of trying to find a legitimate and real publisher I have allowed the entire novel go static. Big mistake probably. It is not that my book is not worthy of publication - it is. But I got discouraged with all the bogus Internet hybrid publishers who have hit on me in the last two years. Make no mistake, these fake publishers are full of crap. And what they do is demand thousands of dollars to vanity publish your book on the Internet only. Most of them have been foreigners who have given their bogus company names that similar to real publishing companies. And the first word out of their mouths are SEO and press releases and publication to their exclusive list of retail outlets and most of it are lies. These fake Internet publishers are just after an author's money. There is no way to enforce and contract with these phonies and it is unlikely you will receive much if any of the services they claim to offer. And where does all that leave me? Still in search of a real publisher. Which almost cannot be done with a real publishing agent. Self publication continues. To date Brother Against Brother Civil War has sold 126 copies on Amazon with no (0) marketing and sales other than this poor website which I have also nearly abandoned. The thing is, my book is a good book. I mean it is a well written, gripping story that is not only a good book but the story would make a kick ass movie. I guess I am just going to have to get more serious about it. Sure is hard work. Wish me luck.
