Old Photos

Love these old photos. They are not dull portraits. They are snapshots of people's lives showing them being themselves. This photo was taken in June 1959. It is my grandmother Gracie Ivey coming out of a grocery store. Check out the purse. But what makes the photo special to me is her youngest daughter (Gerry) sitting on the hood of a car and smiling at her mom. You have to understand, my Aunt Gerry had to have a good reason to smile. She just wasn't prone to it. My grandmother was a reason. I have been scanning these old photos for months now editing improvements where resolution allows. I really enjoy it. But it don't pay much.

After two or three years of trying to find a legitimate and real publisher I have allowed the entire novel go static. Big mistake...
